Flux is part of an ongoing series of sculptural works broadly titled “Vessels”. These works are intentionally designed to be situated in water settings. The stainless-steel material and open-frame structure enable the artwork to integrate with its surroundings and respond to the ever-changing qualities of light, reflections, and weather. In this regard, nature is not merely a backdrop or stage for the artwork; rather, it is an integral part of the overall concept and a vital component of the aesthetic experience. The title Flux refers to the pulsating concentric rings one often finds in diffraction waves.
